1. Who We Are

Golden Clover is a mission-driven organization dedicated to helping people identify opportunities that align with their personal interests, career aspirations, and long-term goals.

2. Registration and Access

Minimum age. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Services, and that parent or guardian is responsible for your compliance with these Terms.

Registration. To access certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Using Our Services

What you can do. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and applicable law, you may access and use our Services for their intended purpose: receiving career and educational advisory support.

What you cannot do. You may not:

• Use the Services for any illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
• Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or the accuracy of information you submit to us.
• Submit content that infringes, misappropriates, or violates anyone else's rights (including intellectual property or privacy rights).
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or programmatically extract data from the Services.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to bypass security measures on the Services.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute our materials, templates, or deliverables without our written permission.
• Use the Services to develop a competing product or service.

4. Accounts and User Content

Your content. As part of using our Services, you may submit personal information, documents, essays, drafts, or other materials to us ("User Content") in order to receive advisory feedback, editing, or other support. You retain ownership of your User Content.

License to us. You grant Golden Clover a limited license to access, use, store, and process your User Content solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Services for you (for example, reviewing a draft personal statement or preparing translated materials).

Your responsibility. You are responsible for ensuring your User Content is accurate and that you have the right to share it with us. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or belongs to someone else without their permission.

Deliverables. Any final materials we prepare specifically for you (such as an edited personal statement or a research summary) are yours to use for your personal, non-commercial purposes once fully paid for, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Purchases and Payments

One-time purchases. Golden Clover services are offered as one-time purchases rather than recurring subscriptions. Prices are shown at the time of purchase.

Payment processing. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these Terms. We do not store your full payment card details.

Accuracy of billing information. You agree to provide accurate and complete billing information and are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchase.

Refunds. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Errors. If a Service is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price or becomes unavailable after purchase, we will contact you and offer a correction, substitute, or refund.

6. Third-Party Services

Our Services rely on certain third-party providers to operate, including:

• Stripe: payment processing
• Resend: transactional and account-related email delivery
• BetterAuth: account authentication and login

These providers have their own terms and privacy practices, which govern their part of the Service. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services, though we select providers we believe are reputable and secure.

7. Accuracy and Disclaimers

Golden Clover provides guidance, research, editing, and educational support to help you pursue opportunities aligned with your goals. However:

• Our advice, research, and recommendations are provided for informational and educational purposes only and do not guarantee any particular outcome (such as admission to a program, receipt of a scholarship, or a job offer).
• We are not a substitute for official guidance from universities, employers, immigration authorities, or licensed professionals (such as immigration attorneys or licensed counselors), and you should independently verify important details (deadlines, eligibility requirements, program details) with the relevant institution.
• You are responsible for reviewing any materials we help prepare before submitting them, since you are the one submitting them to a third party (e.g., a university or employer).

8. Intellectual Property

Golden Clover and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the Services, including our website, tools, templates, and proprietary research methods. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary materials except as needed to use your own deliverables as described in Section 4.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms;
• We are required to do so by law; or
• Your use of the Services poses a risk or harm to Golden Clover, our staff, or other users.

If we terminate your account without cause, we will provide a prorated refund for any paid services you have not yet received.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific result (such as admission or employment) will occur.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Golden Clover and its owners, officers, and staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Dispute Resolution

We hope to resolve any concerns directly. Please contact us first at contact@goldenclover.org so we can try to work things out informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and either party may bring a claim in the state or federal courts located in New Mexico. Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing an individual claim in small claims court.

13. General Terms

Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in our Services. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date above. If changes materially affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (such as by email). Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to an affiliate or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Golden Clover regarding the Services.
